Hello! My name is Jim Oskineegish and I have been painting for 8 years. I am a registered member of Eabametoong First Nation. I currently reside in Ottawa,Ontario, Canada. I paint my dreams and visions and hopefully this can help another human being in some way. I use solid bold colors and try to achieve a visual balance of color and feeling in my work.
I am also a second generation woodland artist and my main objective in my art career is to paint my people's stories and legends as well as my own thoughts and feelings .I also want to promote positive Ahnisnabae culture to the world.
